PAKISTAN IS IN AN EDUCATION CRISIS
Pakistan has the world’s second-highest number of out-of-school children (OOSC),
with an estimated 22.8 million children aged 5-16 not attending school.
Of the estimated 127,000 government-run schools, 10.9 percent lack a proper building, 33.9 percent lack water and 59.6 percent lack electricity. This results in a heavy reliance on the private sector to provide educational opportunities.
However, only a fraction of all private schools are accessible to low-income students. Consequently, a large percentage of people who cannot afford private institutions are, in effect, left with no access to education.
A-Z Foundation was set up by UK based professionals to address this problem.
WHY SHOULD YOU PARTNER WITH / JOIN THE A-Z JOURNEY?
Rather than build small primary schools as many other charities do, our Model is focussed on providing high quality primary, secondary and college education to a minimum 1000 children under one roof.
We choose remote communities with at least a 100,000 population, where the majority of the people are farmers or unskilled labour.
Therefore, the difference is that the education institutions we build and maintain permanently uplift the community – changing it from farmers/unskilled labour to professionals.
We are also in early discussion with Universities across Pakistan to offer scholarships to our students.

42,000 square feet building currently under construction in Kashmir, Pakistan. This will contain 34 classrooms suitable for educating 1000, 5-18 year old, children - taking them as young rough diamonds to shape and prepare them for University.
